Spring in Alberta is not a pretty time of year. In fact, my backyard is still almost entirely covered in snow, and in the few spots that the sun has penetrated, there is nothing but mud! Trees have yet to bud and flowers still lie dormant. Give us another month and we *might* be getting our spring on!
But still, regardless of the cool temperatures, the snow and the frost, spring is a great time of year in my opinion. It’s a time for growth, for planning and for organizing. Winter is a time for introspection and hibernation it seems, but spring is time to act and get moving.
This spring I’m going to try some new things – I think I’m going to finally get out my Flip camcorder and record a couple of videoblogs. I’m also entering my first triathlon this spring – appropriately called the Spring Fling Triathlon. I’m also stepping outside my comfort zone and pursuing new marketing avenues. So far I’ve stuck with social media and word of mouth referrals. Referrals are definitely the best, but they come slowly with time, and I’m ready to grow now!
